Dear Cj,

Eighteen years ago, I held you in my arms for the first time tiny, perfect, and full of promise. I remember looking at you and knowing my life would never be the same. You were my first real “why,” the reason I started pushing harder, dreaming bigger, and loving deeper.

Watching you grow has been one of the greatest honors of my life. From your first steps to your first touchdown, I’ve seen your determination, your heart, and your strength shine through in everything you do. You’ve faced challenges with maturity beyond your years, and you’ve carried yourself with respect, focus, and quiet confidence. You don’t just play the game you lead by example.

Now, here you are 18. Legally grown, but still my baby. As you step into adulthood, I want you to remember a few things:

• Always keep God first. He’ll guide you through doors that talent alone can’t open.

• Protect your name and your character. They’ll speak for you long after you’ve left the room.

• Stay humble, but never forget your worth.

• And no matter how far life takes you, never forget where you come from your roots, your family, your faith.

Cj, I am so proud of the young man you’ve become. You’ve made every sacrifice, every prayer, and every long day worth it. I see greatness in you not just as an athlete, but as a man with purpose, heart, and drive.

Go after your dreams fearlessly, live with integrity, and know that I’ll always be in your corner, cheering you on not just as your mom, but as your biggest fan.

Happy 18th Birthday, my son. The world is yours now go make it remember your name.

Love Always

Mom
