Growth hurts…

Growth Hurts…  But It’s Necessary

Let’s be real… growth hurts. Like, it really hurts. People love to talk about healing, elevation, and becoming your best self  but they rarely mention the part that feels like heartbreak. Because that’s exactly what growth is sometimes: grief.

You’re grieving the version of yourself that once fit in places you’ve outgrown. You’re learning how to say goodbye to old habits, old environments, and sometimes old people. It’s not easy. You start realizing that peace cost distance and sometimes lots of it. That protecting your energy means saying “no” more often than not. That doing what’s best for you might not make sense to everyone else and that’s okay. Growth will test you. It’ll make you question everything you thought you knew about yourself. It’ll stretch you, humble you, and sometimes even break your heart a little. But it’s not punishment it’s preparation.

The truth is, you can’t step into the next season of your life still holding onto everything from the last one. You have to make room. And that means letting go. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s worth it. Because on the other side of that pain is peace, clarity, and a version of you that you’ll be proud to meet one day. So yeah, growth hurts. But staying the same? That’s what really destroys you.
